WIAW - Kickstart

This is the first time I've taken part in WIAW - What I Ate Wedensday.

You can read about it here and also sign up if you want to be involved!

As you may already know, I am currently following the 21 day kickstart. So what better way to start up WIAW with a kickstart day!!!

My breakfast was:
Fruit salad.....
and a piece of toast with fruit spread.

Lunch was my spiced lentil burgers with salad

Dinner was leftover Israeli Couscous with Carrots, Peas, and Red Wine Vinegar with steamed silverbeet and almonds.

Dessert was "ice-cream". Made by blending a frozen banana, blueberries, spinach & milk.
I love a good dessert :D mmmmmmmmmmmmm

  1. happy wiaw! your dinner certainly reminds me of something i would make - throw a grain, a protein (almonds) and some veggies in a bowl and call it dinner! yum!

    1. Aw, thank you for the link back and your kind words :)
Your ice cream looks amazing! Quick question about the frozen banana... I don't think I'm doing it right, but I can never get the peel to come off the banana after it's frozen. Suggestions?

    2. Sorry to butt in when this isn't my blog, but I thought I could offer some help. If you peel the banana before your freezing it's much easier. Slicing the banana and then freezing is even better! It takes less time to blend and fits in a processor better.

    3. No worries re your answer - that is exactly what I do! I have little containers that I always slice one banana into and then freeze it! I find the blender doesn't have any trouble cutting through the banana when its sliced :-) And its always so much creamier when its frozen first :-)
Check out this post to see my mini banana containers with frozen banana in them:
