"Cheese"less pizza bites

I can't resist the urge to continue with the finger food recipes!!
I just love how easy & tasty vegan finger food is!

"CHEESE"-LESS PIZZA BITES

You'll need:

Mini pizza bases
Tomato paste
Italian herbs
Creamed corn
Nutritional yeast

You can use store bought pizza bases or make your own.
Lay the pizza bases on a lined baking tray & spread with tomato paste. Top with Italian herbs (you can use just oregano if you'd rather).

Pour a thin layer of creamed corn over the top of the tomato paste, followed by a sprinkling of nutritional yeast.
Bake in a preheated 180C oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Slice and serve :-)

Submitted for Healthy Vegan Friday.

  1. that is brilliant - I love creamed corn and always wonder how to get the topping to stay on vegan pizzas without cheese to hold it together - want it for lunch today

  2. I've never tried creamed corn...is it just blended corn? I'm totally giving this one a go! not sure I could sneak the corn past the hubs but aside from that this would be totally his thing, perhaps it's worth a try? ;)

    1. I just use canned stuff. Yeah it's pretty much corn blended with a bit of water & thickener.
This might sound tight but the generic brands work best for this recipe because they are not as thick & heaps easier to spread :-)
Yes worth a try ;-) hehe

  3. I love creamed corn and I love pizza, but who would think? Is this just creamed corn from a can or have you made your own or blended the canned type? Looks really good!

  5. When my children were small I use to buy a loaf of bread and cut thick slices and top with creamed corn, cheese and bacon and pop in the oven. When cooked they were so yummy - you could do a vegan version of this. Might sound strange but pineapple would be nice with your pizza!

    1. Yummy!!! And I do like pineapple on pizza - like hawaiian!
My hubby likes these better with pineapple added, but I prefer them plain.

  6. This is a clever idea. I can't get hold of creamed corn here but I'm sure I could blend my own. What a great idea, no more fake cheese. This is so much healthier and I love the colour!

  7. Sounds good to me too. Creamed corn and the generic brands especially are so inexpensive that it may be a regular in my home now. I am all for healthy "cheap" meals!
