CARAMEL CHOC-CHIP DIP
In a small bowl or ramekin mix together:
1/4 cup tofutti cream cheese
1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon maple syrup
Stir until well combined and the sugar has dissolved into the cream cheese.
Gently stir in:
1 Tablespoon Sweet William Choc Chips
Squeeze the juice of half a lemon into another bowl/ramekin & add an equal amount of water.
Slice an apple into thin slices.
Let them soak in the lemon mixture for 3-5 minutes.
This will stop them from turning brown.
Put both the apples and the dip into portable containers.
Oh, yum! What a delicious snack. Your daughter is very lucky ;)
ReplyDeletelol - she sure thought she was with this!
DeleteLooks incredible, and a great way to sneak in a little healthy goodness to their treats!

Anything to encourage a bit of extra fruit & veg consumption hey ;-)
DeleteWhat a great idea, your daughters friends must be envious .
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm actually surprised by the amount of children who turn their nose down at anything that isn't in a 'packet'! Its so sad! If its home-made because its not perfect shape etc they assume they don't like it!!!!
DeleteWhat a great idea for lunchboxes! I wish we could get Tofutti over here. I've heard such good things about it. The only vegan cream cheese I've ever tried was really horrible. Yucky taste and texture :(
ReplyDeleteHow sad! I usually use the Soyaking brand instead of tofutti brand because it uses whole soybeans not soy protein. However I definitely prefer the smoother taste of the tofutti.
